2023 Center Football, Soccer Signups

August 15, 2023 - Below is the information for Football and Soccer Signups. Tonight, August 15, and Thursday are the only in person signup dates. City Hall is open everyday if you want to go by between 8:30-4:30. August 23 will be the last day to sign up.

Timpson Bears Scrimmage with Groveton Indians (Photos)

The Timpson Bears were spotted in their first football scrimmage on Friday when the Groveton Indians came to Timpson. The two teams got in much needed work despite extremely high temperatures which showed to be at 105 degrees at the start of the event. Many fans braved the blistering heat to get their first look at the #2 ranked Bears in action.

Shelby County C.A.V.E. AAU Season Recap

July 28, 2023 - The Shelby County C.A.V.E. AAU (Athletic Amateur Union) program is an upstart based out of Center, TX. Housed out of the newly developed Shelby County Family Life Center, we are Caring About the Vision and Expansion (C.A.V.E.) of our local youth. We currently operate with five teams (three boys and two girls) ranging from ages 12-16. Our reach is wide as we have players representing the following towns: Center, Joaquin, Shelbyville, Tenaha, Timpson, San Augustine, Broaddus, Logansport, and Stanley.
