The Joaquin Rams varsity football team led most of Thursday’s varsity opener against the visiting Beckville Bearcats but, they ultimately fell by a 50-39 score in a disappointing loss.
August 25, 2021 - The Center Lady Rider Volleyball team played Tuesday, August 24, and lost in five close sets to Gary. Center lost their first set 26-28 but tied it up by taking the second set with a 26-24 score. Gary came back to take the third set while Center continued to fight winning the 4th set 25-21. The match was decided in the final set which was won by Gary.

Shelby County high school football is headed into Week 1 of regular season, non-district, football competition. All five county teams have a game this week.
The Center Roughriders head into their Week 1 game with a new head coach Ricky Meeks. Center faces their former district rival, the Tatum Eagles at home in Roughriders Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 27,2021.
The Joaquin Rams will play a rare Thursday game when they host the Beckville Bearcats at Rams Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. on August 26, 2021.
Update: August 24, 2021 - The 9th grade football game will play at 5pm and the JV football game will play at 6pm. Both are at Tatum.
August 23, 2021 - Tickets will be sold online for the Riders vs Tatum JV Football game on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Tatum. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Game starts at 5:30pm.
August 24, 2021 - The Joaquin Cross Country team is warming up to start competing with their first run in Broaddus on Wednesday, September 8. To see the full Cross Country Schedule, click here.
August 23, 2021 - The Center Varsity Lady Riders competed in West Rusk's two day tournament and ended with two wins following a rough start. The tournament started on Thursday with three tough losses against East Texas Home School, Big Sandy, and Harmony.
The team returned on Saturday and rallied to end the day on wins. They narrowly lost their first sets to West Rusk. Next the team faced Carlisle and T.K. Gorman Bishop with two strong wins defeating both with two set wins.
