January 11, 2019 — January is School Board Recognition Month and Tenaha Independent School District is joining the Texas Association of School boards and other districts across the state to honor the countless contributions of these locally elected advocates for Texas school children and public schools.

December 11, 2018 - Traditionally, to "light a candle for someone" indicates one's intention to say a prayer for another person, and the candle symbolizes that prayer. As the Holidays approach, memory bulbs that decorate a Christmas tree can serve as a great remembrance of loved ones lost.
December 10, 2018 - This past Friday, December 7, Tenaha took 30 kids to audition for the Region 21 East Zone Middle School Band and 13 of these students earned a chair! We believe both numbers are records for Tenaha.
December 3, 2018 - Each year Tenaha ISD students prepare for the annual UIL Academic Competition. Over 70 students participate in a variety of contest such as Dictionary Skills, Math, Spelling, Maps and Graphs, Listening and many more. Teachers have already begun team selections and practices.
