Center PD Investigates Pillar Damage to Wulf Creek Entrance

Pole and pillar after being run over.

June 8, 2017 - Center Police officers were investigating an incident at the entrance of Wulf Creek in Center Thursday, June 8, 2017 after someone had driven through a set of pillars beside the entrance.

Sometime between 4:30pm and 4:50pm as someone exited the sub-division, a vehicle apparently drove through a post set in the ground and a brick column it was meant to protect. After driving through the post and pillar, it appeared the vehicle continued east onto Nacogdoches Street where an obvious trail of clay debris was left behind by the bricks the vehicle was dragging.

The trail finally came to an end in a turning lane onto Southview Circle where what remained of the column finally became dislodged, or someone within the vehicle removed it and placed it on the ground just off of the roadway.

Center Police Sgt. Chris Knowlton and Officer Kenneth King arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident.
