Center PD Arrests Three on Drug Charges

January 30, 2018 - Sgt. Christopher Knowlton, with his K9 “Elliott,” was patrolling the Florence Street area when he observed a known male subject. Upon running the subject’s name it was discovered that the subject (not named in this press release) was wanted, out of the Center Municipal Court. 

Randal Lamar RushingAfter turning back to the suspect’s residence, the wanted individual was no longer on the porch, at that point officers observed multiple subjects in a vehicle behind the residence. Once contact was made with the vehicle, officers observed what appeared to be an active drug transaction occurring inside of the vehicle. 

Trumaine Willis BazileK9 Elliott was subsequently deployed with a positive alert on the suspect vehicle. Officers recovered from the vehicle approximately 9.5 grams of “crack” cocaine and 0.55 ounces of marijuana. Arrested on scene were Randal Lamar Rushing, 31, of Center; Trumaine Willis Bazile, 31, of Center; and Donald Wayne Moss Jr., 26, of Center.
