June 5, 2019 - The intersection of San Augustine and Houston Streets in Center was the scene of a single-vehicle collision with a retaining wall Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
Just after 9:36am, a green Chevrolet pickup truck apparently was westbound on San Augustine Street when it left the road to the right and collided with a brick retaining wall just past Houston Street.
The collision caused major damage to the pickup truck and resulted in the collapse of the wall.
After the crash, the driver was able to cross the street to a car dealership where he called for help.
No further information is available at this time. Additional details are pending the release of information by the Center Police Department.
