February 25, 2021 - Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the governing body of the City of Timpson will be held on the 1st day of March, 2021 at 5:30pm at Timpson City Hall, 456 Jacob St., Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. City Council may convene into Executive Session as authorized by Texas Government Code Section 551.071 to consult with the City Attorney regarding legal matters concerning the operation, budget, financial condition, complaints from, and potential closure of the City of Timpson Police Department.
2. City Council will reconvene into Open Session for discussion and possible action concerning the operation, budget, and potential closure of the City of Timpson Police Department.
3. Discussion and possible action concerning the employment, duties, dismissal and/or reduction in force regarding the Chief of Police of the City of Timpson Police Department.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
