David's Daily Devotion for September 23

September 23, 2022 - Good Morning! It's Friday, September 23.

Tomorrow morning, my wife and I will host a brunch at our home for all those who serve in our Worship Ministry - singers, players, technicians, and their families. None of these people are paid for their service. They're volunteers. They're amateurs.

The word "amateur" is sometimes thought of in a negative way in the modern world. An amateur can be seen as someone who is unskilled. But the original definition, from the Latin "ama" (love) and "teur" (to do), refers to a person who does what they do... out of love.

That describes the brothers and sisters that I have the honor and blessing to serve with.

Hebrews 6:10 - "God will not forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints."

Meet you back here on Monday,
Bro. David
