Candidate Packets Now Available at Shelby County Clerk's Office
December 8, 2023 - For those who are interested in running for one of the County offices listed below, the candidate packets for the March 2024 Primary are ready and can be picked up at the County Clerk's office at 124 Austin Street in Center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The first day to file is November 11, 2023, and the last day to file is December 11, 2023.
- District Attorney
- County Attorney
- Sheriff
- Tax Assessor
- Commissioner, Precinct 1
- Commissioner, Precinct 3
- Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4 (unexpired term)
- All Constable positions
Editor's Note: District Judge, 123rd Judicial District will also be on the March 2024 Primary ballot; however, filing for the District Judge is not done through the County Clerk's office which is why it is not listed above. For more information, visit the Texas Secretary of State website.
