February 15, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of the above-named City will be held on the 20th day of February, 2024 at 5:30pm at Timpson City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

4. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total, not to exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.

6. Citizens Input: This time is provided for members of the public to address the city Council on items that appear within the Consent and Action Items or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form may be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.

City Secretary: Election: See most recent field observation report (in packet) from Goodwin Lasiter Strong regarding the DRP progress as of 1/30/24.
One packet has been returned for the Mayor seat, Debra Smith, and 3 packets for City Council Member – Teri Alexander, Penny Ramsey, and Rachel Edwards. A Notice of Drawing for Place on Ballot will be Monday, February 26th at 10:00 am at City Hall. Candidates not able to attend the drawing may have someone present draw for them.

8. Consent Agenda: Items included under the Consent Agenda require little or no deliberation by the Council. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Secretary to proceed with the conclusion of each item as reflected in the Minutes of this meeting.
A. Consider approval of Minutes from the Regular Meeting, January 16, 2024
B. Consider approval of Financial Statement for the month of January, 2024
C. Consider approval of Accounts Payable for the month of February, 2024
D. Consider approval for the replacement/repairs to the fence and gate behind City Hall in the amount of $3,000.
Regular Agenda Items (9-16)
9. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider renewing the city lawncare contract with Justin Yoder, at the rate of $1,825/mo. The current contract is up in April and he is willing to sign another year contract at $1,825/mo. This expense is split between the Chamber ($100), EDC ($500) and General ($1,225).
10. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approving one of the proposals submitted to replace the flooring in the Public Works office.
11. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval to compensate JT Rhodes, $2,500 (budgeted) for the easement from his property to lift station #4, to continue with the Community Development Block Grant.
12. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval of repairs to TVFD Truck #6 with funds ($4,095.44) coming from the city’s allocated budget.
13. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval for the TVFD to purchase thermal camera for the thermal and truck charger, up to $5,000, with the funds coming from the city’s allocated budget.
14. Discuss and take action: Discuss VFIS insurance on TVFD Vehicles to obtain quote and if reasonable pursue further action.
15. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval of funds coming from the city’s allocated budget for hotel 3 rooms (one night) for 6 TVFD members attending training in Livingston.
16. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval to install new gutters at City Hall.
17. Adjourn.
