August 15, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 20th day of August, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on agenda item.
3. Discuss and take action to disburse Fund 16 – Arena Bleacher Fund to the Shelby County Expo.
4. Discuss and possibly accept the unclaimed property Capital Credits for Counties in the amount of $14,120.46.
5. Discuss and possibly take action to disburse the Capital Credits funds to be received.
6. Discuss and possibly accept a donation of unused road materials for Pct 2.
7. Joe Sopchak to address the Court in regards to closing a portion of CR 4192.
8. Southern Health Partners to make a presentation in regards to providing health care for Shelby County Jail inmates.
9. Discuss and possibly take action on the emergency communication system that is utilized by all First Responders in the County.
Executive Session:
10. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
11. Reopen public meeting.
12. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
13. Commissioners’ Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
