October 16, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of the above-named City will be held on the 21st day of October at 5:30 pm at Timpson City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. Call to Order
2. Invocation
3. Pledge: United States Pledge, Texas Pledge
4. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total, not to exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.
5. Presentations and Recognitions: The City of Timpson sent Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center a check in the amount of $619.38 (child safety fee) to recognize the Center for their efforts in Child Abuse Prevention through educational programs and events throughout the county.
6. Chamber of Commerce: Homecoming parade will be Friday, October 24th, line up at the school at 9:00am, parade to start at 10:00am with the pep-rally to follow. Barricade placements around the square to block off traffic.
7. Citizens Input: This time is provided for members of the public to address the city Council on items that appear within the Consent and Action Items or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form may be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.

9. Consent Agenda: Items included under the Consent Agenda require little or no deliberation by the Council. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Secretary to proceed with the conclusion of each item as reflected in the Minutes of this meeting.

E. Consider 5-7 members, residing within the Timpson School District, to serve on the City Parks Committee and the City Secretary to post for applicants on City website and social media.
Regular Agenda Items (10-13)
10. Discuss and consider: Discuss and consider approval for Frank Campos to remain as the City’s auditor for FY 2024-2025.
11. Discuss and consider: Discuss and consider approval to purchase a John Deere tractor and Modern Path Slayer from United Ag & Turf, including the trade of the City’s existing tractor and the case backhoe, per revised proposal.
12. Discuss and consider: Discuss and consider approval to renew the Interlocal Agreement with the amendment of additional sum of $12,800 to provide transportation for the Deputy Constable once retained and approved by the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.
13. Discuss and consider: Discuss and consider approval to purchase a 60in pole tamper from Techline in the amount of $2,550 for the electric department (budgeted).
14. Adjourn.
