December 1, 2025 - Due to the increased potential for rain on Monday, the Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony has been moved to Tuesday, December 2nd. The schedule of events remains the same.
- Historic Courthouse and DRT Building Open House - 4:30pm
- First Methodist Church choir - 5:30pm
- Christmas Tree Lighting - 6pm
As an added bonus, moving the event to Tuesday coincides with Mooney’s Emporium Business After Hours event which is 5pm until 7pm.
November 24, 2025 - It is the most wonderful time of the year, and you are invited to celebrate the second Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting on Monday, December 1st. The Historic Courthouse will be open starting at 4:30pm. Arrive early and visit the Historic Courthouse which is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Entertainment, provided by the First Methodist Church choir, will be begin at 5:30pm in front of the Historic Courthouse. The lights will turn on at 6pm. There are several new and wonderful decorations for everyone to enjoy! What better way to kick off the Christmas season.
Hot chocolate will be available at the Farmers State Bank table. Windham Family Dental will be handing out ready to make s’mores. First Methodist Church will have a table. The 2025 Christmas ornament will be available to purchase at the Chamber table.
