April 23, 2026 - Sergio Reyes, a junior at Shelbyville ISD, competed at the State Powerlifting Meet - Division 4 on March 27th in Abilene, Texas.
Sergio placed 11th in the 181 lb weight class. He beat his personal best in the Bench Press of 330lbs. He squatted 515 lbs and dead lifted 485 lbs. His total at the State meet was 1,330 lbs.
This is the Reyes' third year on the Power Lifting team. His freshman year he advanced to the Region 3 Meet placing 3rd with a total lift of 1,135 lbs. His sophomore year he moved up a weight class to 198 and his best overall total lift was 1,290 lbs at the West Sabine LCQ meet.
