July 9, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 15th day of July 2026 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Approve current payroll.
3. Public comments on agenda item.
4. Discuss and possibly approve a request, from adjoining landowner, to close County Road 2520 located in Shelby County, Texas; which County Road is shown by plat attached to the written request to close.
5. Discuss and possibly approve the quote from 4C Electrical for the permanent service installation at the Agri Life Extension.
6. Review, discuss, and consider approval of the Sheriff’s and Constables’ fees for year 2027.
7. Record the notification letter received on July 8th, 2026 from the Texas Commission of Jail Standards that the TCJCS Inspector has demonstrated the facility to be in full compliance with no deficiencies, as noted on the most recent inspection dated July 2nd, 2026.
8. Review and discuss the Brady Environmental report concerning the Old Elementary School property, including any findings, and potential next steps for moving forward with the property.
9. Commissioners’ Court Repoorts: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
