September 10, 2026 - Three of Shelby County’s five varsity football teams earned wins last week.
The Center Roughriders lost another home game to the Cornerstone Christian School by a 51-14 score. Center will now travel to Nacogdoches to take on the Dragons on September 11 at 7:00pm. Nacogdoches is now 0-2 after losing to Lufkin last week.
The Joaquin Rams won on the road against the Tenaha Tigers 76-20 in Tenaha. Joaquin will have their first bye week before hosting Grand Saline on September 18.
The Shelbyville Dragons traveled to Hooks and beat the Hornets by a 43-42 score. The Dragons will host the Corrigan Camden Bulldogs for Shelbyville’s 2026 Homecoming game on Friday, September 11 at 7:30pm. Corrigan Camden is 1-1 after winning against the Colmesneil Bulldogs.
The Tenaha Tigers lost to Joaquin at home last Friday. The Tigers faced the Big Sandy Wildcats on Thursday, September 10 at 7pm in Big Sandy. Big Sandy is 1-1 after losing to Hawkins last week.
The Timpson Bears are 2-0 after winning against Grace Community Cougars 40-34 in Tyler. The Bears will host the Lovelady Lions for Timpson’s 2026 Homecoming game on Friday, September 11 at 7:30pm. Lovelady is 2-0 after beating Grapeland on the road.
