July 8, 2016 - Album - The What-A-Melon Pet Show took to the stage at the 27th East Texas What-A-Melon Festival Friday evening, July 8, 2016. The following received blue ribbon awards during the show.
Best of Show - Lolly, a 2 year-old mini Australian Shepherd, shown by Rexanna Powers.
Smallest Pet - Bella, a 10 week-old dachshunds, shown by Jacie Lee.
Best Dressed - Coco, a 10 week-old dachshunds, shown by Avery Lawson.
Best Mannered - Buster, a 2 and 1/2 year-old beagle, shown by John Austin Ford.
Best Dog - Rex, an 8 and 1/2 year-old Siberian husky, shown by Steve Hampton.
Most Unusual Pet - Chloe Mae, a 2 year-old Calico cat, shown by Barbara Harding.
Most Unusual Trick - Blue, a 4 year-old Terrier mix dog, shown by Michelle and Marissa Johnson.
Biggest Pet - Chelios, a 4 year-old German Shepherd, shown by Sherry Soape.
Special thanks to the judges for the Pet Show who were Center PD Sergeant Scotty Burkhalter, District Clerk Lori Oliver, and Courtney Martinez.
