Lillie E. Chadwick, 90, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2019 in Martinsville, Texas. She was born on July 31, 1928 in Caledonia to James Richard Keating and Odessa Burks Keating.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carroll Jones officiating. Interment will follow at White Rock Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home.
Lillie grew up in the County Line community. Shortly after high school, she married Lewis Smith and the two remained faithfully by one another’s side until Lewis’ passing. Later in life, Lillie met Walter Chadwick and the two shared a special bond that led to marriage and the joining of their families. Lillie and Walter celebrated many wonderful years together until his passing. She was an extremely talented seamstress and could make just about anything. Lillie loved to sew, quilt and crochet. She also found peace and pleasure working in her garden, cooking and playing dominoes. She was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Smith; second husband, Walter Chadwick; parents, James and Odessa Keating; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Smith and wife, Evah; brothers, Glenn Keating, Leo Keating, Douglas Keating and Harold Keating; sisters, Marie Simpson and Donnella Jimmerson.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Tonya Mims for the compassion and care shown during the last couple of years for Mrs. Chadwick.
Pallbearers will be Mike Chadwick, Jonathan Chadwick, Richard Gary, Sean Crouch, Bradley Els and Steven Keating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Gary, Woody Keating, Mitchell Keating and Jerry Keating.
