The Bears held their own early and they took a 1-0 run lead in the top of the first inning when Nathan Searcy walked and scored when Seth Duke singled to leftfield.  The Bears extended their lead to 2-0 later in the inning when C. Bruister scored on a passed ball behind the Owl’s catcher.
