John Harris Community Fund at ETCF Awards SCCAC with $10,000 Grant

September 5, 2023 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center (SCCAC) recently received a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the John Harris Community Fund at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF). We are grateful to ETCF for their continued support of our agency and their commitment to improving the lives of children and families in our community who have been impacted by abuse.

August 25, 2022 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center (SCCAC) received a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the John Harris Community Fund at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF). They are grateful to ETCF for their continued support of our agency and their commitment to improving the lives of children and families in our community.

SCCAC Awarded $20,000 Grant from T.L.L. Temple Foundation

September 17, 2021 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center (SCCAC) received a grant in the amount of $20,000 from T.L.L. Temple Foundation to partially fund two full-time mental health therapist positions. The SCCAC staff and board of directors are grateful for the award of these funds, which will help us continue to provide trauma-focused mental health services at no charge to the children and families we serve.

Tenth Annual Princess Ball Postponed Until 2022

January 21, 2021 - Over the past nine years, the Shelby County CAC Princess Ball has grown into a highly anticipated and well attended event in our community. We want to make our 10th annual Princess Ball extra special, so we have decided to postpone the event until February 2022. In doing so, we hope to ensure that all attendees can enjoy the event without worrying about the safety of their loved ones. We appreciate all of the community support of the Princess Ball and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2022!

SCCAC Receives $20,000 Grant from T.L.L. Temple Foundation

September 10, 2020 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center received a grant in the amount of $20,000 from T.L.L. Temple Foundation for general operating expenses over the next year. T.L.L. Temple Foundation recognizes that the pandemic has impacted many businesses. This is especially true for nonprofits, which depend on grants, donations, and fundraisers to cover the cost of operations. This grant is a tremendous benefit to the SCCAC as we work to meet the needs of child victims of abuse and neglect in our community.

SCCAC Awarded $10,000 Grant

September 3, 2020 - The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center received a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the John Harris Community Fund at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF).

These funds will be used to retain contract mental health therapists who will provide counseling at no charge to the children and families who qualify for our services.

We are grateful to ETCF for their support of our agency and their investment in the wellbeing of children in our community.
