February 5, 2020 - On Monday, February 3, Center Christian Academy (CCA) hosted its second annual Donuts with Dad. Dads of CCA students of all grades were encouraged to attend the event. Brother Dathan Triplett welcomed everyone, spoke briefly about the importance of a supportive Christian Dad in a child’s life and blessed the meal.
At Center Christian Academy, we cherish strong familial relationships and love to encourage it at every provided opportunity. Thank you to all of the Dads and Granddads who came out for breakfast!
January 17, 2020 - Thursday, January 16, Center Christian Academy hosted their annual Vocabulary Parade. All grades, preK3 - 12, participated in the event. The room was full of supporting parents and staff as the students showed off their words.
September 20, 2019 - Center Christian Academy is hosting their fall Pulled Pork Sandwich plate fundraiser on Friday, September 20. Plates are $8 each and we will deliver for orders of 5 or more.
Plates include smoked pork sandwich cooked by Jerrod Nutt of Nutt 5 Catering, chips and dessert.

March 16, 2018 - Center Christian Academy is hosting their first annual Bunny and Breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, March 24 from 9AM-11AM at the Windham Civic Center. Tickets are $15 each or purchase a table for 8 people for $150. If you purchase a table, this includes a server and no wait in line for your picture with the Easter Bunny. There will be games and crafts for the children to participate in.
Tickets are available at Center Christian Academy, Hughes Florist, Dazzle Me Pink and Blue, and Payne & Payne Home and Suchlike.
June 29, 2016 – Carla Lynn Penney, of Vienna, Georgia, was crowned the 2016 National Watermelon Queen during the annual National Watermelon convention in New Orleans, Louisiana in February. Carla will represent the National Watermelon Association at the 2016 Shelby County What-A-Melon Festival.
June 22, 2016 - The 2016 What-A-Melon Festival t-shirts have arrived and are available for purchase at Shelby Savings Bank main branch, Farmers State Bank main branch and Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. All shirts are $15 each.
