Book Signing for Children's Book Author Shad Thompson

March 17, 2016 - Shad Thompson, a 1991 graduate of Shelbyville High School, has released several children's books two of which are Solar Power League and A Hero's Origin. Hastings Book store in Nacogdoches will be hosting Thompson on April 23, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm for a book signing.

According to a quote on authorsden.com, Thompson stated, "My focus is to create a book that will make a child want to read, learn and have fun."

He currently lives in Nacogdoches, Texas and besides writing he is a graphic designer. Thompson said, "My inspiration to my writing is my late brother Brandon Thompson. We always said as kids that we would write our own books. I continued to write afterwards with a lot of support from my family."

Thompson gives appreciation to his family who have encouraged and supported him as he achieves his dreams, "My supporting cast starts with my wife Betty Thompson, my daughter JaKourtney Thompson who is working on her first book, my sons Javis and Christian Thompson, Malcolm and Jeremiah and my daughters Ashley and Kamesha, my sister Shemedria, my nephew Kevin and my niece Prescious and all of my aunts and uncles. My cousins Fred Thompson, Tashia and Greg Thompson and the whole Thompson family who supported all of my blogs on social media."
