February 3, 2016 - Over fifty Center Elementary third graders and Center Garden Club members Cherry Jones, Alison Scull, Janette Wittmann, and Carolyn Bounds and two guests, Benita Collard and Jennifer Britt, enjoyed making pinecone bird feeders together on January 19.
The students also learned about the great American naturalist-artist John James Audubon as they viewed and discussed various works from his great classic Birds of America.
In addition, Garden Club provided supplies for the teachers of those third-grade classes with whom they were unable to meet directly so that ALL third graders with the guidance of their teachers could experience the hands-on activity and learn that everyone needs to be a good steward of Nature's creatures.
