October 2, 2017 - Second Grade teacher Savannah Bates won a gift bag from Sandy Wheeler State Farm Insurance while attending New Teacher Orientation on August 3.
There were 42 teachers at the orientation, which welcomes new staff to the district.

On August 10, Freshmen participated in Fish Camp. Students received their schedules, took a tour of the campus campus, spoke with upperclassmen about high school life, played games, and received a Free t-shirt sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank.
