June 27, 2024 - Officers of the Center Woman's Reading Club met in the home of president Alease Copelin for a working lunch on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Plans for programs, projects, awards, and continued partnership with the East Texas Research Center (ETRC) regarding archiving club records were discussed. The Center Woman's Reading Club was organized in 1896 and has a rich and interesting history. The club's records are one of two of the oldest collections related to women/women's history at the ETRC housed in the SFA Library.
Officers present included: Alease Copelin (hostess), Dottie West, Deborah Chadwick, Fannie Watson and Bonnie Lucas.
