October 13, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of the City of Timpson will be held on the 17th day of October, 2023 at 5:30pm at Timpson City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. Call to Order

3. Pledge: United States Pledge, Texas Pledge
4. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total, not to exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.
5. Presentations & Recognitions: The City of Timpson sent Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center a check in the amount of $563.72 (child safety fee) to recognize the Center for their efforts in Child Abuse Prevention through educational programs and events throughout the county.
6. Citizens Input: This time is provided for members of the public to address the city Council on items that appear within the Consent and Action Items or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form may be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.

8. Consent Agenda: Items included under the Consent Agenda require little or no deliberation by the Council. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Secretary to proceed with the conclusion of each item as reflected in the Minutes of this meeting.

B. Consider approval of Financial Statement for the month of September, 2023
C. Consider approval of Accounts Payable for the month of October, 2023
D. Consider approval for the payment of $8,000 to B&S Air and Heating for the replacement of the outside and inside units.

9. Discuss and take action: Discuss and possibly take action to nominate a representative for the Shelby County Appraisal District Board of Directors as required by the Property Tax Code, Section 6.03.
10. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval to replace the flooring, baseboards, trim and paint ceilings at City Hall.
11. Discuss and take action: Presentation of TDA Form A1024 CDBG Section 3 Goals and Concepts as related to the CDBG Program and Grant Contract Number CDM21-0138.
12. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval for the TVFD to purchase from the City’s allocated TVFD budget, items as listed:
1. Chainsaws x2
2. Wildland Tools (Rakes, Hoes, Shovel, Mcleod tools) purchase from Casco up to $1,500
3. Pike Poles - $500.00
4. Traffic wands and lights - $1,000-$1,800
5. Tow straps
6. Jumper cables - x8 - For each truck
7. Tool box and tools for each truck
8. Material for Ag at TISD to build safety rail on Bear 1, build boxes
9. Fire extinguishers for all trucks
13. Discuss and take action: Discuss and consider approval of up to $10,000 from TVFD Savings to complete purchase of gear, if needed.
14. Adjourn.
