David’s Daily Devotion for Apr. 20

April 20, 2023 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, April 20.

Two weeks from today, on the first Thursday in May, the men and women of Center, Texas will be invited to come and pray.  May 4 is the National Day of Prayer, and people in towns and cities across America will be meeting at noon to lift their petitions to God.  Pastors and parishioners, community leaders and just plain folks, joining together to say, “Prayer is powerful!”

Here’s some other things that have been said about prayer . . .

“The desire to pray is a prayer in itself.”  - Georges Bernanos

“God speaks in the silence of the heart.  Listening is the beginning of prayer.”  - Mother Teresa

“Any concern too small to be turned into prayer is too small to be turned into a burden.”  - Corrie Ten Bloom

“Don’t pray when it rains, if you don’t pray when the sun shines.”   - Satchel Paige

“Prayer is the key of the day and the lock of the night.”  - George Herbert

“The value of prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will hear God.”  - William McGill

Meet you back here tomorrow,
