A famous writer had an interesting quote about Heaven. He said, "I think Paradise will be like a big library". Devout book lovers will see some sense in that. They're always longing for more time to just sit and read. Eternity in a library sounds pretty good to me.
C.S. Lewis said, "Joy is the business of Heaven". David Jeremiah shared that, "Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people". Billy Graham believed, "Heaven is my real home. I'm just traveling through this world".
The Apostle Paul taught this truth to the members of the church in Corinth. "Now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we will see face to face. Now I know in part; then I will know fully, even as I am fully known".
And we close today's devotion with this quote from Jesus.
"In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also."
Comforting words.
