Do you remember "Show & Tell" Day from your childhood? It was usually Friday, and you could bring something special to school. You'd get up in front of your class (like the teacher!) and SHOW it off and TELL about it. I don't know if they still do that, but I hope they do. It was fun!
We're hosting a fun event this Sunday at 5 at First Baptist Center and it's also called Show & Tell. Many of our members will bring crafts and artwork and collections and hobbies - things we do in our spare time - to show them off. It should be fun! And if you're one of our local readers, we invite you to join us. Did I mention that there will also be homemade ice cream?
The Bible is God's effort to show and tell us about who He is. As we read His Word, it becomes clear that He desires for us to know Him.
John 1:18 - No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known.
I Corinthians 2:10 - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
Jeremiah 9:24 - Let him who boasts, boast in this, that he understands and knows Me . . .
Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.
