David’s Daily Devotion for June 6

June 6, 2024 - Good Morning! It's Thursday, June 6.

Every once in a while, we have a testimony service at my church, a time for people to rise and share the story of their salvation experience. Before we begin, I sometimes ask for a show of hands - "Who was saved in a revival service?" - "Who was saved at church camp?". Lots of hands go up in response to those questions. But, invariably, the highest number of raised hands come after the question - "Who was saved at Vacation Bible School?". We're praying for young lives to be changed this week. And, during this week, I'm sharing some life changing verses from the Word of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

Hebrews 4:12 - The Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Galatians 5:22-23 - The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Against such things there is no law.

Psalm 46:10 - Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
