David’s Daily Devotion, March 11

March 11, 2022 - Good Morning!  It’s Friday, March 11.

This Sunday at First Baptist, Center, we'll begin our service by celebrating the royalty of our Heavenly Father. Our worship center will be filled with the sounds of songs like "Lead On, O King Eternal" and "Crown Him With Many Crowns" and "Sing to the King". We serve a majestic God!

Royalty isn't something you work your way into, isn't a position you can earn. Royalty is a birthright.  And so, as children of God, we are "born again" into His royal family.

I Peter 2:9 - You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellence of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Isaiah 62:3 - You are a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal jewel in the hand of God.

What a wonderful gift the Father has given unto us! But along with that gift and all its blessings, comes a responsibility. The British royal family is both an example of that sense of responsibility (Queen Elizabeth) and a cautionary tale of what happens without it (some of her children).

May we live lives that are worthy of our King!

Meet you back here tomorrow,

Bro. David
