September 1, 2023 - Good Morning! It's Friday, September 1.
This morning, our church has the honor of hosting a meeting of first responders. Men and women, who, a few days ago, were on the scene of a car accident that claimed one of their own, a young deputy. They will be meeting this morning just to talk, to talk about things that you and I will never know.
These are the people who run toward the sound of gunshots. These are the people who run into the fire. These are the people who encounter us on the worst days of our lives and witness the worst in human behavior. I imagine they have a few things to talk about.
