David’s Daily Devotion for Sept. 16

September 16, 2022 - Good Morning!  It's Friday, September 16.

Tomorrow our church will open our sanctuary for a community funeral. It is an honor and a privilege.  On Monday there will be a funeral for the global community, as Queen Elizabeth is laid to rest in London's Westminster Abbey. Two thousand mourners will fill that legendary church, including leaders from most of the world's countries. And millions will be watching from home.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor became Queen in 1952, reigning for over 70 years, the longest serving British monarch in history. She saw 15 prime ministers come and go (and 14 US presidents). And through it all, two words characterized her life and her reign - faithfulness and service.

Matthew 25:21 - And the Lord said, Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.

Meet you back here on Monday,

Bro. David
