David’s Daily Devotional for April 23

April 23, 2022 - Today we conclude our brief focus on the New Testament. Hope you enjoyed it!  Tomorrow at 10:15 our church begins "Walk Through the New Testament”, an entertaining, interactive, and engaging overview from Matthew to Revelation. It features three short sessions - at 10:15, noon, and 1:30 - and it’s free! Guests are warmly welcomed.

Did you know that you can read through the New Testament in less than a day’s time? Well, I didn’t either. But, as a lead-up to our church’s “Walk”, 23 of our members are having a “Read”. They began yesterday at 1pm, each reading for one hour, and will conclude at 9 tonight. You can view it live on our Facebook site - FBC Center, Texas.

What if you took just one hour a day to read from the New Testament You could finish in less than a month. Or maybe you could give a half-hour each day - that would only take you six weeks. Time well spent! By the way, how much time do you spend each day watching TV, surfing the net, or checking social media. Hmmm. Time well spent? Something to think about.

Romans 15:4 - For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance, and through the encouragement of the Scripture, you might have hope.

Meet you back here on Monday,
Bro. David
