April 13, 2023 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, April 13.
On Easter Sunday we placed a large cross in our sanctuary, with a royal purple drape and a crown of flowers. Yesterday I was preparing the worship center for this coming Sunday, and was in the process of taking the Easter cross down, when I had a moment of reflection.
All around the world last Sunday, churches celebrated the risen Lord and Savior. Christians across the globe remembered His victory over death and lifted their praise to the resurrected King of Kings. But, when you think about it, every Sunday is Resurrection Day. We gather to worship on the first day of the week because that was the day that His disciples came to the tomb and found it empty! We gather to worship the risen Savior every Sunday - The Lord's Day.
Oh, and that Easter cross? I decided to leave it up!
