January 20, 2023 - Good Morning! It’s Friday, January 20.
I’m blessed to be part of the Ministerial Alliance of Shelby County. This group of pastors has three basic purposes. We sponsor area events like the National Day of Prayer and the annual Community Thanksgiving Service. We’re part of the support network that helps those in need. And we host a monthly lunch - each third Thursday - for ministers to gather for fellowship and prayer.
When we met yesterday, we had two first responders to join us - who are also pastors. Our county sheriff and the director of our county jail not only lead in law enforcement, but also lead area churches. We heard, first hand, of the challenges that they face in their jobs. We prayed for these two men, and lifted up all our first responders.
Take a moment today to pray for our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, who, every day, do a challenging and dangerous job.
