June 22, 2022 - Good Morning! It's Wednesday, June 22.
In Proverbs 27:17 we find these famous words - "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." That's an eternal truth from God. And that truth is being put into practice by 30+ men each week in our Men's Ministry here at First Baptist Center.
These men are gathering (in three different groups) for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. I'm part of a group that meets each Wednesday morning at 6:00 at an area restaurant. Over the last three months I've enjoyed getting to know these guys. I've learned about their professions and their families and their hobbies. And I've learned, through shared prayer, about the challenges that they face as Christian men in the 21st century.
I have no doubt that each of these men would stand with me in a moment of challenge. I pray that I would do the same for each of them. And as we share food and fellowship and scripture and prayer... iron is sharpening iron.
