David's Daily Devotion for June 22

June 22, 2023 - Good Morning! It's Thursday, June 22.

I'm old school when it comes to writing. This daily devotion ends up on my computer, but it begins on a yellow pad, written by a pen. And not just any pen. It has to be the "Pilot Precise Rolling Ball V5 Extra Fine"! I'm not that particular about most things. If my coffee is hot, that's good enough for me. And if a car gets me where I need to go, I don't care that much about what it looks like. But when it comes to pens - there's only one choice. There is no substitute.

What do you have in your life like that? I'm sure you have certain things that you insist on having, that you're particular about. Is one of those things the Bible? I'm a reader, and I read all sorts of books and magazines. But, in the end, there is no substitute for the Word of God. That's my opinion, and here's the opinions of some others.

"I never saw a useful Christian who was not a student of the Bible." - Dwight L. Moody

"If you are serious about changing your life, you are going to have to get into the Bible." - Rick Warren

"Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian." - A. W. Tozer

"If you are ignorant of God's Word, you will be ignorant of God's will." - Billy Graham

The Bible... there is no substitute.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
Bro. David
