David's Daily Devotion for November 10

November 10, 2023 - Good Morning! It's Friday, November 10.

On November 10, 1956, the Marine War Memorial was unveiled near Arlington Cemetary in Washington D. C. Maybe you've been there to see it. Even if you haven't, you know the statue. It's a re-creation of the famous World War II photograph of the marines raising the American flag on Iwo Jima. A fitting way to remember the bravery of soldiers and the sacrifice that they gave to protect our freedom.

Tomorrow is a national holiday to remember the soldiers, the veterans, the men and women, in wartime and peacetime, who set their lives aside to protect ours. Many of our schools are having ceremonies of remembrance this week. Many churches, like First Baptist Center, will pause to remember this Sunday.

Look for an opportunity to thank a vet this weekend. Maybe pay their check at a restaurant, or just offer a handshake or a hug. A small, simple gesture to remember their service.

Meet you back here on Monday,
Bro. David
