David's Daily Devotion for November 13

November 13, 2023 - Good Morning. It's Monday, November 13.

My wife and I suffered a loss in our home this past weekend, the loss of a beloved pet. Those who don't have pets, don't always understand the depth of this kind of loss. But those that have experienced the joy of an animal who becomes "part of the family," understand it all too well. Here are some quotes that have encouraged me the last few days. I hope that they are a blessing to you this morning.

  • "When a man loves dogs, I am his friend, without further introduction." - Mark Twain
  • "Whoever said you can't buy happiness, forgot about puppies." - Gene Hill
  • "The great pleasure of a dog is that you can make a fool of yourself with him and, not only will he not scold you, he will make a fool of himself, too." - Samuel Butler
  • "Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home." - John Grogan
  • "God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he'll be there." - Billy Graham

Meet you back here tomorrow,
