David's Daily Devotion for November 9

November 9, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, November 9.

This Sunday night, in our evening service, we’ll share our favorite scriptures. Do you have a favorite? A poll was taken recently, across America, asking folks what their favorite verse was. Here’s the Top Ten list. Is your verse on it?

#10 - Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

#9 - Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

#8 - Matthew 28:19 - Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

#7 - Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

#6 - 2 Corinthians 5:17 - If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.

#5 - Isaiah 40:31 - Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

#4 - Romans 8:28 - And we know that God works all things for good to those who love Him, and are called to His purpose.

#3 - Jeremiah 29:11 - I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

#2 - Matthew 6:33 - Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

And the number one favorite verse? You've probably guessed it.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
