David's Daily Devotion for October 19

October 19, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, October 19.

As I write this, it’s 29 degrees outside. I went to bed last night in October, and woke up this morning... in December! Unseasonably cool. But there’s one good thing about this little cold snap. It’s a lot easier to focus on church Christmas projects. We’re planning a community event called “Journey to Bethlehem”, an event that will be a new experience for us and for our community.

And tonight, we’ll kick-off a First Baptist holiday tradition - our Children’s Christmas Musical. It’s always presented the first Sunday in December, the morning after our town’s night time holiday parade. Appropriately, the musical is called “The Do Not Be Afraid Parade”! It should be a lot of fun for the kids and for our church family.

And the angel said - “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."

Please forgive the very early Christmas devotion - it must be this holiday weather!

Meet you back here tomorrow,
Bro. David
