May 17, 2024 - Alex’s Lemonade Stand was the focal point at F.L. Moffett Wednesday, May 15, 2024, as 2nd Grade students were gathered at the front of the building offering lemonade as a fundraiser.
Many attended and donated in support of this event and for 50 cents got a nice cold cup of lemonade to take with them.
According to the foundation's website, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was formed to help fight childhood cancer, and its founder was four years old when she told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in her family’s front yard. While fighting her own cancer, the intent was of giving the money raised to doctors to help them find a cure for childhood cancers.
