To all Shelby County citizens:
November 27, 2023 - I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Shelby County Attorney. Throughout my campaign, I will strive to earn your confidence in me for this position in March 2024 and thereafter.
I was born and raised in Shelby County by my parents, Jerilyn and Franky Dale Adams. I graduated from Center High School in 1991. A recipient of the Shelby County Texas Exes Scholarship, I earned my bachelor's degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995, and am now proud to vote on that same scholarship board of our local UT Chapter. After graduating from Baylor Law School in 1998, I worked in both Houston and Dallas before returning to Center in 2003.
As a founding member of Mettauer Shires & Adams, LLP, I focused my practice on family law, criminal law defense, and personal injury for the next ten years. In 2013, I became the sole member at The Law Office of Jeff Adams, PLLC, and have continued to serve the residents of Shelby County and greater East Texas in those same areas of practice.
I have a beautiful eight year old daughter, Elena, and enjoy traveling with her throughout the year. We especially like going to the beach during the warmer months. In my spare time, I watch and support my Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Astros.
I hope to continue my dedicated service to this county for the rest of my legal career as your Shelby County Attorney. I look forward to meeting you all personally in the coming months and welcome all comments regarding my campaign for this Shelby County public office.
