March 26, 2024 - The Joaquin Lady Rams Powerlifting team competed at the Region III 1A/2A Regional Powerlifting meet on Friday, March 1st in Commerce, Texas. Competing from Joaquin High School were Emma Barton, Halle Bonner, Zion James, and Riley Mullins.

Riley finished 4th in her weight class and achieve her personal best with a total of 805 lbs. She squatted 310, bench pressed 170, and dead lifted 325 for a total lift of 805.
Halle finished 1st in her weight class to earn 2X Regional Champion, and advanced for her third trip to State. She set personal records on all her lifts. She squatted 390, bench pressed 200, and dead lifted 375 for a total of 965 lbs.

On Wednesday, March 13th, Halle Bonner competed at the THSWPA State Powerlifting Meet in Frisco, Texas at the Comerica Center.

Halle represented Joaquin well with a 3rd place finish in her weight class. She squatted 385, bench pressed 195, and dead lifted 360 for a total of 940.
Last year as a sophomore she placed 4th and her freshman year she placed 9th. Congratulations!
