Joaquin VFD Weekly Fire Report, Mar. 28 - Apr. 3

April 4, 2022 - Over the week of March 28 to April 3 the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a modest single call.

Tuesday, March 29 at 10:55pm the JVFD received a dispatch about brush fire on County Road 3790. The department responded to the location with two brush trucks and a tanker truck for additional water supply. Upon arriving to the scene it was evident that a tree had fallen on the power lines, most likely causing sparks that ignited the brush on the ground below. After a fight through the trees and briars the Joaquin VFD was able to contain the fire.

Aside from that, there were two other dispatches over the week which were cancelled soon after being received due to both situations being under control.

With that, the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department wishes everyone a safe and fire-free week.
