October 8, 2022 - The 2022 ETPF Broiler Show was held at the Shelby County Expo Rodeo Arena Saturday morning and Daniel DeLeon with the Texas A&M University Poultry Science Department sorted the birds into their order for the 4-H & FFA Broiler Show Auction which will be held at 7pm on the Frances Oates Stage.
Out of 77 chicken pens shown, Cori Lawson, an 8th grader at Shelbyville Middle School, won Grand Champion with her set of birds. The judge described her set of birds as ‘cinderblocks’ and among the top five largest he has judged.
John Ford, a junior at Center High School, won Reserve Champion. To see the rest of the lineup, be sure to come enjoy and participate in the Auction tonight under the big tent at the East Texas Poultry Festival at 7pm.
