Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 5 New Cases, 201 Cumulative Cases (Updated)

Update: On May 31st, DSHS reported 4 new confirmed cases for Shelby County that were later discovered, had previously been reported. So those 4 cases have been subtracted. Shelby County has a total of 201 cumulative cases of COVID-19. The other numbers below still include the 4 cases double counted. June 1, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9am on Monday, June 1, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 9 new cases to them for a total of 205 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 84 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 115 active cases.

DSHS also reports of the 196 cumulative cases, 22 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.
