Mansfield State Historic Site Special Guided Battlefield Tour

March 24, 2019 - To commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Mansfield, park historians will conduct a special guided tour of the Mansfield battlefield on Saturday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. This walk will lead guests on an in-depth tour of the battlefield where some of the most significant action of the battle occurred. The tour will also include rare access to property encompassing the Union left flank atop Honeycutt Hill, one of the best-preserved battlefield parcels in the country.

The tour will involve outdoor walking of app. 1.5 miles; appropriate footwear and clothing (to include wet/muddy conditions) is recommended. Cost to take part in the special guided tour is $6 per person.

After the tour, a brief ceremony will recognize the states represented in the battle of Mansfield and the names of each regiment and artillery battery that took part.

Gate admission to the park is $4 per person ages 4-61; seniors 62 and over and children 3 and under admitted free.
