Fifth Annual Texas Tiddler Road Endurance Run

May 13, 2019 - May is Motorcycle Safety Month; Local Businesses Encourage Awareness

Sabine State Bank and Trust and Raymond Motors join local motorcyclists and the Texas Motorcycle Roadriders Association in encouraging motorists and motorcyclists to be more aware of motorcycles on the road.

On May 18th, we are hosting the Fifth Annual Texas Tiddler Road Endurance Run for street legal small displacement motorcycles. When one rides a smaller low powered machines one has to be more aware of ones surroundings.

The "Tiddler" rider presents a smaller presence on the road and doesn't have the speed or acceleration to avoid other vehicles so one is called upon to be more aware of ones surroundings including larger vehicles that threaten.

This event is a fundraiser for Area A of the TMRA. Some of the proceeds will be donated to the local Patriot Guard Riders represented by Louis and Glenda McGinty. The Patriot Guards mission is to honor and pay respect to our fallen heroes and their families. They ride escort for funeral processions for fallen service men and veterans as well as ride to honor our US Armed Forces on Memorial and Veterans Day.

Thanks for watching out for motorcycles and if you see people riding little motorcycles and scooters in the Toledo Bend and Sabine National Forest area be sure to wave and you'll get a wave back!
